We appreciate that the welfare of children in family breakdowns must be handled sensitively and expertly.

The Court decides child related issues based upon what is in the best interests of children and must consider the welfare of the child as being the paramount consideration.

We deal with child related matters promptly, constructively and in accordance with the Court's position and the Resolution code and provide the expertise and sensitivity necessary to negotiate an amicable settlement, or to act in complex Court proceedings. We offer a Family Mediation service in relation to all family issues.

Blight, Broad & Skinnard deals with all aspects of private child law including:

• contact (access) and residence (custody)
• financial provision and enforcement abroad
• wardship
• adoption
• grandparents' rights
• abduction
• and specific issues such as changing a child's name, schooling or removal from the jurisdiction.

We will act in certain areas of public law, but do not accept publicly funded clients.
